High Summer
Fabulous music with a setting to match, the annual Milton Abbey International Music Festival hosted by British vocal ensemble VOCES8 this summer (2019) involved over 250 musicians performing a range of vocal and orchestral works including Haydn's oratorio The Creation and Bach's St John Passion with the Academy of Ancient Music. It was a great privilege to draw in the abbey as the musicians rehearsed - huge thanks to all involved. I hope something of the music and the spirit of the performances lives on in my drawings.
